Hello all,
This week on the show I hosted Maureen Elias, the new Deputy Chief of Staff at Department of Veterans Affairs.
Maureen’s story is so inspiring:
• Medical discharge from the army
• Went home to raise 3 kids
• Received her lightbulb moment (veteran’s advocacy) of passion after getting her masters. Now doing boss stuff, fighting for vets at the policy level.
This story was such a strong reminder that ITS OKAY if you don’t know what you want to do with your life. It will come… IF you continue to push the envelope. Try new things. A lot won’t work. But one will.
You can listen to the full episode here.
Side note - As I continue to explore different avenues in the military space, I’m working to try and provide the most value possible. I’m starting with compiling a list of the most helpful resources available to service members. Everything from veteran service organizations to resume assistance. I have the list started, but am looking to include others. If you have directly benefitted from a veterans resource or know of one, I’d love if you replied to this email and mentioned any to add.
Keep charging.
